Lincoln Calcavecchi
Lincoln Calcavecchi says that he had always been attracted to the leather man and “those” bars, but his friends always squinched up their faces like they smelled something yukky whenever he mentioned them. Then Lincoln met this guy in a bathhouse. Actually, Lincoln met him twice: in October and November of 2002. After the second meeting, the guy told Lincoln “to meet me out front”, and when he came out in leather pants, a vest and boots… well, that was it! The guy that was in leather – that’s Todd. So Lincoln has “been involved” in the leather community since the beginning of 2002.
The first leather contest he attended was Mr. Texas Leather, and then on to IML – both when Stephen Weber won – followed by ILS/b. Lincoln did a stint as a collared boy to Todd for eight months, and at the end of that time said, “take this damned thing off me!” and he has since changed roles.
As Mr. Gulf Coast Florida Leather 2005, he went on to place 5th at IML in 2006. Lincoln and his husband Todd have produced three Mr. Gulf Coast Florida Leather contests. Most recently, they worked with the Ybor Eagle of the GaYbor District Coalition in historic Ybor City – east of downtown Tampa, where they co-produced the first Mr. Ybor Eagle contest.
Lincoln prefers to be an outsider, helping where and when he feels moved to do so. If you look at his “Mama’s Family” name you’ll understand: Wolverine.
Welcome to IML!
