IML Weekend Code of Conduct

International Mr. Leather (IML) is proud to welcome all leather community members and those who wish to learn more about the leather community, and we acknowledge that we have a responsibility to provide a safe environment.   Additionally, IML welcomes, affirms, and celebrates diversity in all its forms. Every member of the IML Organization is bound by this code of conduct and will respect and honor the dignity of every person who participates in IML Weekend. We require adherence to this code of conduct as a condition of attending IML. This code of conduct applies to all participants – trustees, staff, volunteers, vendors, contestants, judges, contractors, and attendees – of the IML Weekend.   All participants of IML acknowledge that they are attending a sex-positive event that contains some sexually explicit content. All participants of IML must be at least 21 years of age.

Harassment

IML is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for all, regardless of age, race, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, personal beliefs, fetish interests or religion. Harassment of any kind is considered a serious breach of this code of conduct. The policy applies equally to all participants. Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
  • Discrimination or unfair treatment based on age, race, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, personal beliefs, fetish interests, or religion.
  • Non consensual physical contact of any kind
  • Unwelcome sexual attention
  • Deliberate intimidation, threats, stalking, or following
Participants who are asked to stop harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. NO means NO! If you are asked by another individual to leave them alone, then you must respect their wishes. Individuals experiencing harassment or having a conflict with another attendee should cease further interaction and contact the help desk on the 1st floor of the hotel.

Controlled Substances

IML has a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal substances. Any person believed to be selling or otherwise distributing any controlled substance will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Weapons and Replicas

No functioning or realistic appearing firearm may be carried or displayed at any time, regardless or any government permits you may possess. Projectile devices or props, which may cause annoyance to others, are not allowed.

Photography and Video Recording

Photography, film, and video recording for personal use is generally allowed. Attendees are asked to be courteous when photographing or filming others and to ask permission prior to recording or taking pictures. If an individual does not wish to be photographed or filmed, their wishes must be respected. Be aware that IML does have official photographers who are identified by unique credentials. By entering an IML venue, you may photographed by them. Wherever possible, IML official photographers will ask permission. However, it is possible that you might inadvertently appear in the background.

Reporting

If you are subject to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behavior, or have concerns that this Code of Conduct is not being followed, please contact the help desk on the 1st floor at the hotel or contact us at conduct@imrl.com as soon as possible. All reports will remain confidential. IML does not tolerate any retaliation taken against a person reporting something they believe to be in violation of this Code of Conduct.   Failure to abide by this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the event. Questions regarding safety or application of the Code of Conduct should be directed to IML Operations LLC Board of Directors by email at conduct@imrl.com.
